"Fragments"
Quest'opera è un affascinante esempio di "object trouvé" (oggetto trovato) e ready-made, fortemente radicata nella tradizione del Nouveau Réalisme e dell'arte polimaterica. Più che un quadro nel senso tradizionale (dipinto), ci troviamo di fronte a un assemblage tridimensionale, una bacheca della memoria o un archivio visivo di frammenti di vita quotidiana.
L'intero assemblaggio è racchiuso e diviso da una rete metallica e da corde nere spesse.
La griglia crea un forte senso di reclusione, protezione o costrizione. Gli oggetti sono "imprigionati" o messi in sicurezza dietro le sbarre.
C'è una tensione evidente tra il desiderio di mostrare questi oggetti personali e la necessità di bloccarli, quasi a voler congelare il tempo o proteggerli dal furto e dal deterioramento.
Il quadro raccoglie frammenti che sembrano provenire direttamente dalle tasche, dai cassetti o dalla borsa di una persona specifica. Spicca una Tessera Sanitaria della Repubblica Italiana. Questo elemento ancora l'opera a una realtà geografica e temporale molto precisa (l'Italia contemporanea) e rimanda immediatamente al concetto di identità burocratica e cura di sé. Una piccola foto-tessera di un uomo, probabilmente l'autore o il soggetto a cui l'opera è dedicata, che osserva lo spettatore da dietro le sbarre.
Un pacchetto giallo di tabacco Backwoods Forest e una confezione di sigaretti Moods. Raccontano di abitudini quotidiane, ritualità legate al fumo e al relax.
Ci sono numerose cerniere lampo cucite o incollate sulla superficie, un portamonete metallico vintage, sacchetti di stoffa e portafogli logori. Le zip suggeriscono l'idea di "aprire e chiudere", di segreti custoditi o svelati.
Monete, una catenina, occhiali da sole tartarugati, un braccialetto metallico e due chiavi ben visibili sopra un sacchetto bianco. Le chiavi sono simboli universali di accesso, segreto, casa o libertà.
Quest'opera funziona come una capsula del tempo. Se un archeologo del futuro trovasse questo pannello, potrebbe ricostruire la giornata tipo, i vizi e lo status di un cittadino italiano medio.
C'è una forte componente di nostalgia e decadenza: i portafogli sono consumati, la pelle è graffiata, gli oggetti sono chiaramente usati. Non c'è nulla di nuovo o perfetto; tutto ha una storia, un "vissuto".

Rather than a painting in the traditional sense, it is a three-dimensional assemblage, a memory cabinet, or a visual archive of fragments from everyday life. The entire composition is enclosed and divided by a metal mesh and thick black cords. The grid creates a powerful sense of confinement, protection, and restraint. The objects appear to be “imprisoned” or secured behind bars. There is a clear tension between the desire to display these personal belongings and the need to lock them away, as if attempting to freeze time or protect them from theft and deterioration. The artwork gathers fragments that seem to come directly from the pockets, drawers, or bag of a specific individual. Particularly striking is an Italian National Health Card (Tessera Sanitaria). This element firmly anchors the work to a precise geographical and temporal reality—contemporary Italy—and immediately evokes themes of bureaucratic identity and self-care. A small passport-style photograph of a man, likely the artist or the person to whom the work is dedicated, gazes at the viewer from behind the bars. A yellow pack of Backwoods Forest tobacco and a package of Moods cigarillos speak of everyday habits and rituals associated with smoking and relaxation. Numerous zippers are sewn or glued onto the surface, alongside a vintage metal coin purse, fabric pouches, and worn wallets. The zippers suggest the act of “opening and closing,” hinting at secrets that are either protected or revealed. Coins, a chain, tortoiseshell sunglasses, a metal bracelet, and two prominently displayed keys resting on a white pouch complete the composition. Keys are universal symbols of access, secrecy, home, and freedom.
This artwork functions as a time capsule. If a future archaeologist were to discover this panel, they could reconstruct the daily routine, habits, and social status of an average Italian citizen. There is a strong sense of nostalgia and decay: the wallets are worn, the leather is scratched, and the objects clearly show signs of use. Nothing is new or pristine; everything carries a history, a lived experience.
