L'estetica del ready-made e dell'arte polimaterica si spinge qui verso una riflessione sulla condizione dell'artista contemporaneo e sulla mercificazione del successo.
Spicca la scritta d'argento glitterato racchiusa tra due stelle: "Poor Walk of Fame" (La passeggiata della celebrità dei poveri).
Il riferimento alla celebre Hollywood Walk of Fame è immediato, ma qui viene ironicamente capovolto. Non stiamo celebrando il glamour delle star milionarie, ma la dura realtà, la fatica e i sacrifici che stanno dietro al percorso di chi cerca di fare arte senza risorse.
Su un fondo rosso acceso e lucido, steso con pennellate svelte e visibili, sono applicati elementi dal forte valore simbolico.
Al posto delle impronte dei piedi dei divi impresse nel cemento di Hollywood, troviamo due "forme" o tendiscarpe di plastica grigia riciclata (su cui si leggono scritte industriali come "Reuse or Recycle me"). Rappresentano il passo, il cammino faticoso, le scarpe consumate da chi "cammina" per strada alla ricerca di un'opportunità.
Attorno ai tendiscarpe sono avvolti degli spezzoni di pellicola analogica da 35mm. Controllando in controluce, si intravedono le silhouette impresse nei fotogrammi. Il cinema, la fotografia e la memoria visiva vengono letteralmente "calpestati" o usati come lacci, a indicare un'arte che stringe e vincola l'esistenza.
Due pennelli privi di colore, sono posizionati verticalmente tra le due forme delle scarpe, come strumenti di lavoro abbandonati o messi in bacheca, armi spuntate di una battaglia quotidiana.
Tre piccole monete di valore minimo sono incollate in alto, quasi al centro. Sono lo spietato contrappasso ai milioni di dollari dello star system: le "briciole" con cui l'artista indipendente spesso deve fare i conti.
La prospettiva laterale offerta svela una scelta installativa molto interessante: il quadro è protetto da una lastra di plexiglass bombata, che sporge vistosamente verso lo spettatore.
Questa cupola trasparente trasforma l'opera in una teca museale o in un display da negozio. Gli oggetti non sono semplicemente appesi, sono "esposti" come reperti archeologici del presente, protetti ma anche isolati dal mondo esterno.
La Poor Walk of Fame è un'opera di forte denuncia e auto-ironia. Il colore rosso di sfondo non è più il mantello regale dei quadri precedenti, ma diventa il colore dell'urgenza, del pericolo o del "tappeto rosso" (Red Carpet) di Hollywood, qui dissacrato dalla presenza di plastica riciclata e pochi centesimi.

The reference to the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame is immediate, yet it is ironically reversed. Rather than celebrating the glamour of millionaire celebrities, the work highlights the harsh reality, hard work, and sacrifices behind the journey of those who pursue art without financial resources.
Set against a vivid, glossy red background applied with swift, visible brushstrokes, the composition incorporates objects charged with symbolic meaning.
Instead of the celebrities' footprints embedded in the sidewalks of Hollywood, two recycled gray plastic shoe trees take their place, bearing industrial markings such as "Reuse or Recycle Me." They symbolize footsteps, the arduous journey, and the worn-out shoes of those who keep walking the streets in search of an opportunity.
Wrapped around the shoe trees are strips of 35mm analog film. When held up to the light, the silhouettes captured in the frames become visible. Cinema, photography, and visual memory are literally "walked over" or transformed into bindings, suggesting an art form that both sustains and constrains one's existence.
Two paintbrushes, stripped of color, stand vertically between the shoe forms like abandoned tools of the trade or museum exhibits-blunted weapons in the artist's everyday struggle.
Three small low-value coins are glued near the top center of the composition. They serve as a merciless counterpoint to the millions associated with the star system: the "crumbs" that independent artists are so often left to survive on.
A side view reveals a particularly striking installation choice: the artwork is protected by a domed sheet of plexiglass that projects noticeably toward the viewer.
This transparent dome transforms the piece into a museum display case or a retail showcase. The objects are not merely mounted; they are exhibited as archaeological artifacts of the present-preserved, yet simultaneously isolated from the outside world.
Poor Walk of Fame is a powerful work of social commentary infused with self-irony. The red background no longer functions as the regal backdrop found in the artist's earlier works; instead, it becomes the color of urgency, danger, and the Hollywood Red Carpet, here deliberately subverted through the presence of recycled plastic and a handful of loose change.
