Title: "Vinyl, what a passion!!"
Quest'opera non cerca la sottigliezza, ma punta dritto all'impatto visivo e al gioco di parole (visivo e testuale).
L'opera si basa su un gioco di parole letterale. Il vinile inserito fisicamente nel quadro è il singolo "Dance Your Ass Off" di Hamilton Bohannon (un classico disco-funk del 1976). L'artista ha preso il titolo del brano - che solitamente è un modo di dire per "ballare freneticamente" - e lo ha trasformato in una situazione fisica grottesca e ironica.
Nella parte superiore troviamo una citazione in stile stencil: "Don't sit down" God exclaimed!! "I can't because i'm holding a vinyl record between my butt ceeks!" Sinful red. Dialogo tra Dio e una figura "peccaminosa" (Sinful red) aggiunge uno strato di umorismo irriverente.
La scritta riporta "ceeks" invece di cheeks. In opere di questo tipo, spesso tali sviste sono deliberate per sottolineare un'estetica punk, "fatta in casa" o volutamente ignorante delle regole accademiche.
L'opera è ricca di texture e stratificazioni.
Il Vinile 45 giri è l'elemento focale. La scelta dell'etichetta Brunswick con i colori dell'arcobaleno crea un contrasto cromatico perfetto con il rosso dominante dello sfondo.
Nella parte inferiore, le sagome bianche e grigie che ricordano uno skyline urbano o delle matite appuntite portano la scritta "Metropolis of Pencil". Questo suggerisce un contrasto tra la rigidità della città e la morbidezza carnale del corpo rappresentato.
La mano con le unghie laccate di rosso e l’intimo di colore rosso richiamano l'immaginario dell'erotismo vintage e del burlesque, coerente con il nome "Sinful red".
È un'opera ironica e sfacciata. Funziona perché dissacra un oggetto di culto (il vinile) e lo inserisce in un contesto erotico-comico. È un pezzo da conversazione, perfetto per un ambiente che non teme di mescolare musica, arte di strada e un pizzico di volgarità consapevole.

The artist takes the song's title - normally an expression meaning "to dance like crazy"- and transforms it into a grotesque yet humorous physical situation.

This irreverent exchange between God and the "sinful" character, Sinful Red, adds another layer of provocative humor.
The word ceeks is intentionally misspelled instead of cheeks. In works of this nature, such "mistakes" are often deliberate, reinforcing a punk-inspired, DIY aesthetic that intentionally disregards academic conventions.
