"Ali"
Quest'opera è un potente tributo in stile Pop Art / Urban Collage dedicato alla leggenda della boxe Muhammad Ali.
L'intero lavoro si sviluppa su un contrasto materico e concettuale molto forte, mescolando elementi della cultura di massa, materiali da riciclo e simboli storici del pugile.
La scelta di utilizzare un cartone da imballaggio (con tanto di codici a barre, etichette di spedizione gialle e il celebre logo del "sorriso") non è casuale. Conferisce all'opera un'estetica street e contemporanea, sradicando l'arte dai supporti classici. Rappresenta la quotidianità moderna su cui si innesta il mito intramontabile di Ali.
Balza subito all'occhio la celebre citazione "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" (Volteggia come una farfalla, pungi come un'ape). Le parole sono accompagnate visivamente dai rispettivi soggetti tridimensionali.
Così come il vinile tagliato a metà che riporta la scritta "Atlanta 1996" e la dicitura "The Last Torchbearer" (L'ultimo tedoforo), in ricordo di quando Ali, visibilmente commosso e scosso dal Parkinson, accese la fiamma olimpica. Al centro del vinile è inoltre incastonata una piccola medaglia d'oro con l'incisione "Mohammed Ali - Roma 1960": l'anno in cui il mondo (allora come Cassius Clay) scoprì il suo talento immenso, vincendo l'oro olimpico nei pesi mediomassimi.
La silhouette di Ali è resa con un contrasto netto in bianco e nero, spezzata solo dal rosso acceso dei guantoni e dal marchio iconico Everlast sui pantaloncini.
Sul retro del quadro l'artista ha applicato due elementi motivazionali che definiscono la mentalità del pugile: - Una stampa della famosissima foto contro Sonny Liston con la frase sul sacrificio negli allenamenti: "I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion!'" - Una targa con l'altrettanto celebre aforisma sulla fiducia in se stessi: "I am the greatest, I said that even before I knew I was."

The entire piece is built around a strong material and conceptual contrast, blending elements of mass culture, recycled materials, and historical symbols associated with the boxer.
The choice to use a shipping cardboard box (complete with barcodes, yellow shipping labels, and the famous “smile” logo) is far from accidental. It gives the artwork a contemporary street-art aesthetic, removing art from its traditional supports. It represents modern everyday life, upon which Ali’s timeless myth is superimposed.
One of the first things that catches the eye is the famous quote, “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.” The words are visually reinforced by their corresponding three-dimensional subjects.
Another striking element is the vinyl record cut in half, bearing the inscription “Atlanta 1996” and the phrase “The Last Torchbearer,” commemorating the moment when Ali, visibly emotional and affected by Parkinson’s disease, lit the Olympic flame. At the center of the vinyl is a small gold medal engraved with “Mohammed Ali – Rome 1960,” the year when the world—then knowing him as Cassius Clay—first discovered his extraordinary talent, as he won the Olympic gold medal in the light heavyweight division.
Ali’s silhouette is rendered in a stark black-and-white contrast, interrupted only by the bright red boxing gloves and the iconic Everlast logo on his shorts.
On the back of the artwork, the artist has applied two motivational elements that perfectly capture the boxer’s mindset: - A print of the world-famous photograph of Ali standing over Sonny Liston, accompanied by his quote about the sacrifices of training “I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit.
